Tom,
My Mom needed a liver transplant four years ago. Her condition was so bad that during the operation she needed 27 units of blood. 27 units is a lot of blood, which means that 27 people had to donate in order for my Mom to live. While my brother and I have been avid blood donors since high school I don’t know that we would have donated 27 units together. This is such a good cause that you have embraced and I wish you much success. We have had my Mom already four years longer than we would have, you can’t put a price tag on that.
Thank you,

Tom,
Thank you for your work with the blood drives. I was very sick with a deteriorating liver and almost didn’t live long enough to receive another one. Surgery was rough and I needed 27 units of blood. I am so grateful for the people who selflessly donated their blood. It literally saved my life. I have had four wonderful years watching my grandkids grow older and being a part of their lives.
Thanks to everyone who volunteers!

BLOOD DRIVE/TEDDY BEAR DRIVE A HUGE SUCCESS: On behalf of the entire school community, we would like to thank all of the parents, teachers, friends and neighbors that generously donated blood at our first Blood Drive on Monday, February 13th. We collected 54 pints of blood which equates to 162 lives saved! A special thanks to Heather Redd, Kelli Doezie and Tom Riles for helping to organize the event. Another huge thank you to Washington Mutual for donating $10.00 for every pint collected for our primary music program! In addition, our Teddy Bear drive was also very successful with over 75 bears and other new stuffed animals being donated to CHOC at Mission Hospital. Thank you for making a difference!!
